After Gyanvapi Masjid in Ayodhya, Mathura and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, now the case of Jama Masjid Shamsi of Budaun has reached the court. In this matter, the district court of Budaun has also started hearing.

There are many Jama Masjid in India, among them Jama Masjid of Badaun is the seventh largest mosque. But now it is being claimed that this mosque was also once the temple of Neelkanth Mahadev. It is being claimed that Iltutmish had demolished the Shiva temple and built a mosque on it. With these claims, the Hindu Mahasabha had gone to court in August and demanded that the survey should be conducted at Jama Masjid Shamsi, just as the survey was allowed in Gyanvapi Masjid.
