On June 23, 2017, the 712kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation along with 30 nano satellites lifted off at 9.29 a.m. from the First Launch Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota onboard ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-38).
The PSLV-C38 carrying 31 satellites lifted off at 9:29 am IST, as planned, from Sriharikota on June 23, 2017, with the 712 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite as the main payload.

According to ISRO, the PSLV rocket's XL variant carrying the 712 kg Cartosat-2 series satellite and 30 co-passenger satellites together weighing about 243 kg is expected to lift off on Friday morning at 9.29 a.m. from the First Launch Pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.
Exactly at 9:28 am, ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C37 carrying 104 satellites blasted off from the first launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle rocket blasted off from Sriharikota rocket port in Andhra Pradesh at sharp 9.28 am today.
ISRO became the first space agency in the world to script history by launching 104 satellites on a single rocket, beating the previous record holders – Russia, which launched 37 satellites in one go in June 2014 and the US which orbited 29 satellites in November 2013.
