A CBI official and his crony, who allegedly manipulated Tatkal ticket reservation system of the railways through an illegal software developed by the former, were operating at pan-India level, officials said here today.

CBI software programmer Ajay Garg is alleged to be the brain behind subverting railways reservation system.
The software once installed on the agents computers needed a user name and password.
He used a complex chain of Indian and foreign servers to facilitate his operations.

CBI has arrested its assistant programmer Ajay Garg and his front, Anil Gupta, for developing and distributing the software to agents for a price.
