The irony is that 16 per cent of those students who somehow manage to admission in colleges., struggle to get a job.

The Supreme Court on Friday (May 28) said it would hear on May 31 a plea seeking directions to cancel the class 12 exams of the CBSE and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) amidst the surge in COVID-19 cases across the country.

The CBSE Class 10 Results are scheduled to be released on June 20.

Youth leader and philanthropist Siya Tayal was among the protesting students who appealed the government in the Centre to cancel the CBSE board exams 2021.

As per the new circular, competency-based questions would be about 30 per cent for Classes 9 and 10 and 20 per cent for Classes 11 and 12. CBSE explained that the competency-based questions could be in the form of Multiple Choice Questions, Case-Based Questions, Course-Based integrated questions or any other types. 

Most of the states are reopening the schools only for higher classes as students of class 9 to 12 have to appear for the board exams set to take place in the first half of 2021.

According to the official notification, students who want to get enrolled in CBSE class 9 and 11 can fill the CBSE Registration Form via online mode. 

In its statement, the board has clearly ruled out the possibility of online exams and said that they would be conducted in written mode only. According to sources, the board is not in a favour of online exams since not everyone has equal access to technology and the internet.

CBSE to release final date sheets for 2021 anytime soon. They have introduced major changes in exam pattern of CBSE board exam 2021. New marking pattern has also been introduced by the board.
