Chandrayaan-3 VS LUNA-25 LIVE Location: Chandrayaan is now at the last stage of its mission. India's Chandrayaan is now only 25 kilometers away from the moon. So there Russia's Luna-25 has gone astray in space. Russia mission moon has failed.

All eyes would be on ISRO when it sends its second lunar probe mission - especially because its first was hailed as a massive achievement for being low-cost and yet enormously successful.

Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (IC) for Atomic Energy and Space claimed that the launch will take place in the first quarter of 2018. 

Chandrayaan 2 will be launched aboard GSLV Mk 2, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

More than seven years later, NASA's ground-based radar indicated that the spacecraft generally considered lost in space is srill circling some 124 miles (200 kilometers) above the lunar surface.
