As the `mahaparv` Chhath entered in its second day, ghats are being cleared for Puja to be performed on Sunday and Chhath music being played around the ghats, houses, and even in some local colonies.
Renowned singers like Anuradha Paudwal, Shardha Sinha, Dinesh Lal Yadava and Sonu Nigam have lent their soulful voices to several Chhath songs over the years, adding a magical touch to the ancient Hindu Vedic festival which is dedicated to the deity Surya and Shashthi Devi.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal made a big announcement regarding Chhath on Friday and told that this time 1100 Ghats will be built in Delhi with all facilities. CM Kejriwal said that arrangements for ambulances will also be made at Chhath Ghats.

Chhath, the most popular festival in Bihar and other parts of India, commenced on October 31. The four-day-long festival will be observed till November 3. The whole state is immersed in the fervour of Chhath and the popular Bhojpuri stars have also released songs based on the festival.
