China's increasing influence over Pakistan, especially in terms of economic linkages, has amplified its domain, pushing Islamabad into policy-level challenges. The US, believes that China's debt diplomacy has effectively surrounded and trapped Pakistan. China is by far the most powerful country in the South Asia region and its rapid growth and expansion makes it a much bigger threat to global superpowers.

India has asked China to stop changing the status quo of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) by building the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) after Beijing raked up the Kashmir issue at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Pakistan and China will sign five MoUs and agreements and inaugurate projects to enhance bilateral cooperation in a broad range of areas, state-run Radio Pakistan reported.
