Due to the negligence of China, many people's lives were in danger. It is being told that China had sent the Long March 5B rocket into space, its debris has come back to Earth. NASA says that China did not provide information related to this rocket, where it could fall on Earth.
A bright light was seen in the sky on Saturday night in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. Soon after the incident, this light was being told as a meteorite but ISRO believes that this light was of the burning debris of a Chinese rocket.
"I believe this is the reentry of a Chinese rocket stage, the third stage of the Chang Zheng 3B serial number Y77 which was launched in Feb 2021 - it was expected to reenter in the next hour or so and the track is a good match," McDowell said in a tweet.
Many people shared the visuals of the meteor shower on Twitter.
The Tehsildar of Yeola, Pramod Hile, said an "ulkapat" (meteorite) was visible in the sky at around 8 pm.
The U.S. Space command confirmed the re-entry of the rocket over the Arabian Peninsula, but said it was unknown if the debris impacted land or water.
The coordinates given by state media, citing the China Manned Space Engineering Office, put the point of impact in the ocean, west of the Maldives archipelago.
The Long March 5B rocket was reportedly launched on May 5 from the Wenchang launch center on Hainan Island in southern China, carrying a prototype for China’s next-generation crew capsule into orbit on an unpiloted test flight.
