Accused hatched a criminal conspiracy to change the specifications of the contract to favour AgustaWestland in VVIP chopper deal, CBI has said.

Tyagi, who had retired in 2007, his cousin Sanjeev and Khaitan were arrested on December 9 last year by CBI in the case. These accused are currently on bail.  

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday deferred the hearing of the Central Bureau of Investigation`s (CBI) plea challenging the bail of former air chief S.P. Tyagi and others in Augusta Westland case till February 1.

A Delhi Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the bail plea of retired Air Chief Marshal SP Tyagi and two other accused in the AgustaWestland chopper scam case till December 23.

A key middleman in VVIP chopper scam has written to CBI, saying he is willing to meet with Indian investigating officers in Dubai.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday ruled out political witch hunt in the probe into the AgustaWestland chopper deal, saying investigating agencies will do a professional job and whatever names come up, "let's see".

The rally saw Rahul Gandhi and Manmohan Singh attacking the Modi dispensation over pulling down of Congress governments in Arunachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

BJP chief Amit Shah on Friday renewed attack on Congress president Sonia Gandhi over the AgustaWestland VIP chopper deal, asking on whose behest the terms of the contract were tweaked.

 Amid raging row over VVIP chopper scam, James Michel, the middleman in the AgustaWestland deal, has said that he has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter.
