New Zealand imposes ban on youth buying cigarettes
Law states that tobacco can't ever be sold to anybody born on or after Jan 1, 2009

The modified regulations will be in place from December 1, 2022.
According to the government, anyone involved directly or indirectly in the manufacture, production, supply, import, or distribution of cigarettes or any other tobacco products must make sure that every box of tobacco goods bears the required health warnings.

Hawaii has some of the most restrictive cigarette laws in the US. In 2016, it became the first state to raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21, reports CNN.
