In response to a plea seeking quashing of the CLAT exam 2020, the top court said it will not cancel the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT)-2020 or stay the counselling process.
The permission was granted by SC is only for these two coronavirus patients on certain special ground.
No other such COVID positive patients will be allowed to take exam. The two patient will have to show courts approval before taking the exam.
Earlier, a plea was presented in the Supreme Court challenging the SOPs laid out by Consortium which does not permit COVID19 positive patients to appear for the examination.
The CLAT 2020 exam was scheduled to be held in May but was postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The deadline for applications has also been extended to May 18, 2020.
