On Wednesday morning, the CBI first started a search operation at two houses of Moloy Ghatak in Asansol. CBI found one house locked and went to another house. The CBI has conducted searches in three houses of Moloy till now.

Earlier in July, the ED had summoned Bengal minister Moloy Ghatak and TMC MLA Sushanta Mahato. Sushanta Mahato emailed the ED as the reason for his absence. Moloy Ghatak did not tell anything to ED. ED has summoned Moloy for the fifth time now.

Rujira entered the ED office around 11am on Thursday. She has been summoned for questioning in the coal smuggling case. Security was tight at the CGO complex premises since this morning.

Abhishek wrote a letter to the ED saying that he will have to go to Dubai for treatment. However, he was banned to travel outside India by the central agency. The Diamond Harbour MP then moved the Calcutta High Court challenging the decision.

It is learnt that the CBI notice reached Saokat Molla on Wednesday. He has also been asked to bring several documents in addition to appearing in person. Recently, the CBI has been summoning TMC heavyweights in several corruption cases.
