Coach Roberto Martinez will be happy with his side’s performance at the Kazan Arena, as Belgium gear up to take on France in their second-ever World Cup semi-finals. 

Dramatic late strikes by Philippe Coutinho and Neymar gave Brazil their first win of the World Cup against Costa Rica in St Petersburg on Friday. 

Coutinho and Neymar scored a goal each towards the end to seal their position in Group E.

Barcelona reached the King's Cup final for a record fifth year in a row on Thursday with a 2-0 second leg win at Valencia in which Philippe Coutinho scored his first goal for the club as they secured a 3-0 aggregate semifinal success.

Lionel Messi scored a spectacular free-kick to give Barcelona a 2-1 win over struggling Alaves on Sunday while Luis Suarez was also on target as the Catalans battled back from a goal down at halftime to stay 11 points clear at the top of La Liga.

The Portuguese superstar scored his ninth in the competition this season in reigning champions Real Madrid`s 3-2 win at home to Borussia Dortmund.

"I've spoken with Coutinho because I have a good relationship with him," the 30-year-old was quoted as saying by The Independent on Wednesday.

Coutinho became the top-scoring Brazilian in England`s Premier League when he scored his 30th goal in his club`s 2-1 win over Stoke City on Saturday, eclipsing the former Middlesbrough midfielder.
