The decision was taken as 95 per cent of the adult population in the state has been vaccinated with at least the first dose and there has been a reduction in the number of new COVID-19 cases.
The DDMA order will come into effect from the intervening night of October 31 and November 1.
The decision was taken after a meeting between CM Uddhav Thackeray and the COVID task force.
Timings of restaurants and shops in the state have been extended.
The announcement was made in a form of a notice issued by the Jharkhand Disaster Management Division.
The notice stated that the schools will now operate a blended mode of education in the state, that is, online as well as offline classes.
The state government also allowed the temples outside containment zones are allowed to open.

The state government has eased COVID-19 curbs
Tamil Nadu gives nod to schools to reopen for Classes 9 and over from September 1.
The TN government has released SOPs that should be strictly followed by all schools and students.
Religious places, amusement parks and similar places permitted to re-open strictly adhering to COVID appropriate behaviour and following guidelines.
The Export Market at Sarojini Nagar shall remain closed from Sunday (July 18) till further orders.
The order further noted that the decision is taken in order to prevent the market from becoming a COVID-19 super spreader.
“Only teachers and professors will be allowed inside educational institutions for online lectures and other administrative work,” the notification stated.
Spas, social, political, cultural, religious, and other such gatherings continue to remain prohibited.
The decision was taken in a High Powered Committee (HPC) meeting on COVID-19 which was chaired by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio himself.
HPC decided to relax shopping hours from 6 am to 4 pm.
Sports activities would also be allowed with a gathering of up to 100 people.
