In a bid to strengthen cyber security system, the Reserve Bank (RBI) today decided to set up an inter-disciplinary panel on cyber security to examine various threats and suggest measures to deal with it.

The report further mentioned that cyber-attackers have now become more fierce, smarter and bolder where cyber-attacks are concerned and are gaining momentum on a global basis.  

 Japan police on Thursday said the number of targeted cyber-attacks surged nearly seven-fold in the first half of this year from the like period of last year.
