A Pakistani court has ordered the release of British-born al-Qaeda leader Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh and his three aides.
They were convicted and sentenced in the abduction and murder case of American journalist Daniel Pearl.
Wall Street Journal reporter Pearl, 38, was investigating Islamist militants in the city of Karachi, the capital of Sindh, after September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States when he was kidnapped in January 2002.
In 2002, Daniel Pearl was abducted from outside a hotel in Pakistan's Islamabad when he was introduced to a man, Bashir, but was actually Omar.
