Daniele De Rossi News
AS Roma legend and Italian star Daniele de Rossi has bid adieu to football, thus calling curtains on his illustrious 18-year-long career.
Roma, currently without a coach, have not won a major trophy since Pallotta, among the U.S. investors who took over the club in 2011, became president in 2012.
De Rossi has made 615 appearances and scored 63 goals in all competitions.
Roma`s second win in five games under new coach Claudio Ranieri lifted them to sixth with 51 points from 31 games.
Roma were beaten 3-4 on aggregate after losing Thursday's second leg 1-3 in extra-time, the decisive goal coming from a penalty awarded after a VAR review three minutes from the end.
Spain forward Diego Costa was lucky not to be sent off after the break.
In the most recent matches, Italy claimed a 2-1 win in the Euro 2012 semi-finals while Germany romped to a 4-1 win in a meaningless friendly in March.
