After a warm-up win against Prime Minister's XI, Rohit Sharma-led Team India departed Canberra for Adelaide ahead of the second test.
It is to be noted that on Monday (October 28), BCCI president Sourav Ganguly had expressed hope that Bangladesh will agree to play the first-ever Day/Night Test between the two countries.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would like the second Test of the upcoming series between India and Bangladesh to be a day-night Test, according to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
"We can confirm that we have received advice from the Board of Control for Cricket in India that it is not prepared to participate in a proposed day-night Test in Adelaide this summer," Cricket Australia said in a statement. "As a result, we can now confirm the test match will be a day format.
