Corbevax vaccine of Biological E Company has been approved for those between 5 to 12 years of age while Covaxin will be given to children between 6 to 12 years of age. These vaccines are administered in two doses each of which is given at an interval of 28 to 40 days

"Novavax in global trials has demonstrated more than 90 per cent efficacy. Serum Institute of India`s brand Covovax has completed bridging studies in India and has been granted Emergency Use Authorisation by DCGI for adults and for children above the age of 12. India's drug regulator DCGI on Wednesday granted approval to Bharat Biotech for conducting late-stage trials of its nasal COVID-19 vaccine to be used as a booster shot, according to news agency ANI.

DCGI on Sunday approved the emergency use of Covishield of Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin. Of which Covishield will be the first to start vaccination, Covaxin will remain as an option. The general public will get the vaccine by April - May.
