Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) operates Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, on Monday introduced an e-boarding facility for passengers at all the three terminals of the airport. The procedure not only minimises the touching of facility surfaces and interaction among people in the times of COVID-19, but also shortens the boarding time.

"After almost 18 months of closure, the operations at T1 terminal will resume with pre-Covid operators, i.e. IndiGo and SpiceJet," said the statement by DIAL.

DIAL has installed Xovis PTS. This will ensure better management of passenger flow. Also ensre adherence to social distancing norms.

Arun Veer Singh, CEO, Noida International Airport Authority (NIAL), told ANI that the highest bid was quoted by Zurich International Airport, adding "On December 2, Project Monitoring Implementation Committee (PMIC) will evaluate the bid and then the state government will be recommended on the same for further process."

The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Tuesday informed that the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport`s runway 11/29 will remain closed from 12 am on November 7 to 7 am November 10.
