On Sunday, the Delhi Education Department issued an order directing the reopening of schools for physical classes across all levels, including nursery, KG, and primary classes, starting Monday.

Schools have been closed since December last year. Delhi reported 1,410 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday.

Corona is continuously spreading its feet in Delhi, due to which schools have also been closed in Delhi. Schools will remain closed for the time being till 6th class.

Schools have been opened in Delhi from today. But Delhi's AQi is still above the danger mark.

The Delhi government has decided to reopen the schools and colleges that were closed due to high pollution. Now schools and colleges will open in Delhi from 29 November.

From today all the schools in Delhi have been reopened, schools from class I to VIII were opened. Schools have been opened at 50 percent capacity and schools will teach in two shifts.

Schools in the national capital reopened after a gap of 17 months with strict anti-COVID measures. New guidelines have been issued to curb the possible spread of COVID. Compulsory thermal screening, staggered lunch breaks, alternate seating arrangements, 50% seating per class and mandatory isolation rooms in school premises are included.

"As of now, the school is not providing school buses or any transport facility," a principal said. The DDMA panel has not made any recommendations for the SOPs for travel by students in school buses. Schools were again completely shut in April following an aggressive second wave of COVID-19 this year.

Following a marked improvement in the COVID-19 situation, many states governments including Delhi, reopened schools and coaching institutions for higher classes. 

States which had started physical classes in schools after a gap of a year were again forced to order closure due to the second wave of coronavirus in March-April this year.

Students of class 10 to 12 in the city are permitted to visit their schools for admission-related work including counselling, guidance and practical activities for board exam.

Schools reopened on Friday for Classes 9 and 11 in the city amid strict COVID-19 protocol. Students will attend classes only with the consent of parents. Physical attendance will not be compulsory and all schools and colleges will be expected to follow the COVID-19 guidelines.
