Delhi’s overall air quality index was 617 on Friday morning.
The residents of the national capital violated the ban on firecrackers forcing the AQI to plummet into 'hazardous' category.
"Pollution has started increasing. 09 Oct- AQI - 171 (0 to 50 - Good, 51 to 100 - Satisfactory, 101 to 200 - Moderate) PM10 - 197 (0 to 50 - Good, 51 to 100 - Satisfactory, 101 to 250 - Moderate) PM2.5 - 69 (0 to 30 - Good, 31 to 60 - Satisfactory, 61 to 90 - Moderate)," Kejriwal tweeted.
“We implemented graded response action plan in Delhi. We've formed 75 teams under anti dust campaign to review situation&penalise those flouting guidelines. We are studying impact of Delhi's smog tower and if result is good, then more towers will be installed,” said Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.
