While Kalinga Lancers defeated Uttar Pradesh Wizards via penalty shootout, Dabang Mumbai, rode on a 26th minute field goal by Dutch import Robbert Kemperman to beat Delhi Waveriders 2-0

The draw took third-placed UP Wizards' points tally to 25 as they set up a semi-final against second-placed Kalinga Lancers.While Mumbai and Delhi Waveriders play the other last four clash.

Uttar Pradesh Wizards will take on Kalinga Lancers while Dabang Mumbai face Delhi Waveriders in the two semi-finals slated on Saturday.

The win took the Waveriders to the third spot in the standings with 21 points from eight games, leaving Punjab at the bottom of the table with 17 points.

Delhi will go into the game riding high on the confidence they have gained from the two successive wins against UP Wizards and Kalinga Lancers.

Rupinder has been successful at converting just one goal from the 10 PCs he has attempted this season.

UP Wizards' lone goal came from the sticks of skipper VR Raghunath, who converted one of the five penalty corners they secured in the game.

With this win, Punjab took their points tally to 11 points and leapfrogged Uttar Pradesh Wizards, who have eight points from three matches.

Affan twin strike strike in the 29th and 30th minute earned his team five points from the encounter.

The battle for supremacy continued into the final quarter with both teams pressing hard and chances flying both ways.

Ranchi earned two penalty corners in quick successions. But they failed to convert them into goal. 

Gurjinder was awarded with a prize money of Rs 50,000 for scoring the 'Goal of the Match'. 

Rupinder struck in the 24th and 36th minutes while Canadian Mark Pearson scored from another penalty corner.
