The resolution urged the Centre to carry out delimitation only after consultations with all the state governments and all political parties. 

Delimitation is a constitutional process. In a democracy, elections are held, and for that purpose, the delimitation exercise is conducted, said the RSS.

DMK MP Kanizmozhi stated that the JAC has expressed its deep concern about the lack of transparency and clarity in the delimitation exercise without any consultation with the various stakeholders.

Sources in the Election Commission told Zee News that the process of delimitation in Jammu and Kashmir will begin after October 31 and will take at least 10 to 15 months for completion.

On Tuesday, there were reports that Jammu and Kashmir could witness a fresh delimitation of Assembly constituencies.
