Axis Bank on Thursday reported a 70 % jump in net profit at Rs 5,329.77 crore in the July-September quarter. The country's third largest private lender had posted a net profit of Rs 3,133.32 crore in the year-ago quarter. PM Modi will inaugurate 75 digital banking units (DBUs) of different banks across the country. Two of which are in Jammu & Kashmir. DBUs will be brick and mortar outlets which will provide a variety of digital banking facilities to people

Customers will be able to open accounts, cash withdrawal and deposit, KYC updation, loans and complaint registrations. Scheduled commercial banks having experience in digital banking are allowed to open DBUs in Tier 1 to Tier 6 centres.
