Mumbai Police have told the Bombay High Court that former celebrity manager Disha Salian died by suicide. Their affidavit, based on forensic reports, dismissed sexual assault and murder claims, stating she jumped "of her own free will" while under mental stress.

Disha Salian's lawyer's demand came after a meeting with Joint Commissioner of Police, Lakshmi Gautam, where he outlined three major requests regarding the investigation.

He emphasised that the closure report filed by the CBI in the cases related to Rajput does not mean that the accused are off the hook.
