DK Jain News
The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) Ethics Officer D.K. Jain questioning the role of former players like Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and V.V.S. Laxman's as commentators in the ongoing World Cup while they are already a part of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises, has put the Indian board and the Committee of Administrators (CoA) in a fix. But senior BCCI officials feel that this was waiting to happen.
Wadia was arrested earlier this year at an airport in Japanese town Hokkaido for possession of 25gm of cannabis resin. His sentence has been suspended for five years.
The BCCI termed that the former Indian captain's alleged conflict of interest comes under the 'tractable category' which could be sorted without much fuss and with "full disclosure".
Justice Jain emerged as the first choice among the six former apex court judges whose names were placed before a bench in an envelope.
