DLF plea News
Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) on Thursday adjourned till November 24 the hearing on realty major DLF's plea against the Rs 86 crore penalty imposed on it by capital markets regulator Sebi.
The Supreme Court has termed as "unacceptable" the out-of-turn listing of an appeal of real estate major DLF Ltd against imposition of fine of Rs 630 crore by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on it for allegedly adopting "unfair business practices".
Justice S J Mukhopadhyaya, heading the bench, said he was due to retire on March 14 and it would not be possible for him to wind up the hearing and deliver the judgement in the case.
Following the Sebi's order, the company moved to SAT, which last week sought Sebi's reply on DLF's plea for an interim relief.
