Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated 3,024 newly constructed EWS flats at Kalkaji, Delhi built for rehabilitating slum dwellers under the `In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation` Project. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate 3,024 newly constructed EWS flats for the economically weaker sections in Delhi. This is a part of an in-situ slum rehabilitation project. The DDA has taken up three such projects in Kalkaji Extension, Jailorwala Bagh and Kathputli Colony.

The Uttarakhand government on Wednesday approved 10% reservation in education and employment opportunities for economically weaker sections in the general category. With this, Uttarakhand became the eighth state after Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Assam and Maharashtra to have approved the bill to implement the reservation.
