Security forces continued their operation for the third consecutive day on Sunday in Akhal Devsar area of Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Special Operations Group (SOG), the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army, and the CRPF.
This comes days after three terrorists were neutralised in an intense firefight with security forces in the Harwan area near Dachigam National Park in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
This encounter comes just weeks after a major offensive in the same region in early June, where seven Maoists were killed in a series of coordinated strikes by security forces.
Encounter breaks out between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district on Wednesday, an official said.
