England, eyeing a place in the FIFA World Cup final for the first time since the 1966 triumph at home, take on the dangerous Croatia in the second semifinal of the championship on Wednesday night. The winner of semifinal will face 1998 winner France in the final while the losing team will play against Belgium to decide the third and fourth places.

England, the 1966 World Cup champion, face Croatia on Wednesday after reaching the semifinals for the first time since the 1990 World Cup.

Croatia coach Zlatko Dalic said on the eve of the game that Croatia has no reason to feel nervous as they contemplate only the second World Cup semifinal in their comparatively short history.

While Croats are in the semifinals on the back of two knockout victories over Denmark and Russia via penalty shootouts, England got past Colombia and Sweden in the last two elimination matches.

Dalic has managed to get the best out of his players so far as they cruised through the group stage with three wins out of three games, including a win over Argentina.
