Greece's finance minister says his government is pressing lenders for a swift review of the country's bailout program, warning that delays would prolong market uncertainty and make fiscal targets more difficult.

Greece in July accepted a three-year, 86-billion-euro (USD 93-billion) EU bailout.

Greece`s newly-elected Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras unveiled his new government on Tuesday, giving the crisis-hit country`s key finance portfolio to Euclid Tsakalotos and defence to his nationalist coalition ally, the Independent Greeks.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will reappoint Euclid Tsakalotos as finance minister, a senior source in his leftist Syriza party said on Tuesday, to offer continuity in bailout talks with international lenders.

Greek lawmakers were preparing to vote Friday on the terms of the country`s third international bailout since 2010, a deal which has split the ruling radical left Syriza party and met with a wary response in Berlin.

Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos expressed confidence Tuesday that Athens and its creditors will reach a deal on a new bailout in time for August 20, when a huge debt payment is due.
