European equities dipped, with French shares, which hit 9 1/2-year highs on Friday, underperforming the wider market.
The euro struggled to pick up in Asia on Friday ahead of Greece`s last-minute funding talks with its European creditors, while the dollar was supported by expectations US interest rates will go up this year.
Greece is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons yet again. Until further political certainty is achieved, it is best to remain cautious and not rule out further volatility in Greek yields and European equities. However, unlike at the peak of the European debt crisis, wider contagion is a low probability event risk.
IMF chief said there was a 35-40% chance of the eurozone slipping back into recession if action was not taken.
