Supreme Court is scheduled to pronounce its judgment on Monday on petitions challenging the validity of the 103rd Constitution amendment, providing 10% reservation to economically weaker sections (EWS) persons in admissions and government jobs.
The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing on a plea relating to EWS quota in the All-India Quota in NEET PG.
Earlier, the court had allowed NEET PG counselling for 2021-2022 based on existing EWS/OBC reservation criteria.
The court had said that merit should be socially contextualized and reconceptualized.

The court said that the process of admission in medical colleges started in November last year and the quota for EWS was introduced later hence reservation cannot be given to students under EWS this year.
