The Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) has directed the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to grant an ‘A certificate to "Lipstick Under My Burkha", which was denied a certificate for its sexual content earlier this year.

Directed by Shlok Sharma, the film chronicles a relationship between a 14-year-old girl (Shweta Tripathi) and her tuition teacher, played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui, in a small town.

The film had leaked on digital platforms 17 days before its original release date of July 22.
