Faced with many vacant seats, railways is mulling to reserve about 50 percent berths in premier trains including Rajdhani for normal fare by making changes in the prevailing flexi-fare system.

There is no proposal to extend to mail/express and superfast trains the flexi-fares currently applicable only to Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto trains, Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu said on Friday.
