IndiGo and Air India have cancelled flights to and from nine airports including Jammu, Srinagar, Chandigarh, and Leh on May 13, 2025, due to renewed safety concerns amid India-Pakistan tensions. Passengers advised to check flight status.
The German national carrier Lufthansa was also affected and had to cancel 1300 flights and an estimation shows around 300,000 passengers will be affected due to overall flight cancellations.
The Federal Aviation Administration system software that grounded over 1300 flights across the USA has been around since the 1990s and will not be upgraded for another 6 years, reports IANS.
