Tirupati Accident: A terrible accident has been witnessed in Tirupati. Two workers have died tragically after a portion of the under-construction Srinivasa Setu flyover collapsed. In this incident, a part of about 80 tonnes fell, in which two laborers have died.

Passengers headed to railway stations, airports, hospitals etc are advised to plan their departure well in advance and choose an alternate route to avoid delay, the advisory stated.

A section of an under-construction flyover collapsed at Sohna Road in Haryana's Gurugram on Saturday (August 22) night. A slab of the flyover being constructed between Subhash Chowk and Bhondsi collapsed on the road, however, no one got injured. Gurugram Police and officials of the company involved in the construction of the bridge reached the spot to probe the matter.

A case has been registered against Praharaj, Assistant Engineer Kishore Rout and Directors of Panda Infra Project, which was executing the construction work of the bridge, Khurania said.

When Patnaik was reading out the statement, Congress and BJP legislators rushed to the Well of the House, demanding his resignation, as he also holds the Works Department.
