After a period of global market volatility, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have returned strongly to Indian markets. In the last 11 trading sessions alone, FIIs have invested Rs 37,375 crore in Indian equities and bonds.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought equities worth Rs 1,944.48 crore on Friday, according to exchange data. Global oil benchmark Brent crude climbed 1.08 per cent to USD 79.87 a barrel.
Crude oil prices firmed up in early Asian trade. Brent crude, the global oil benchmark, gained 0.35 per cent to trade at USD 85.64 per barrel. Oil for Indian basket was up at USD 84.50 per barrel.
