Sushma Swaraj's last rites will be held at the Lodhi Road electric crematorium in the national capital at around 3 pm on Wednesday.
Leaders across parties mourned the untimely death of the much-beloved politician, expressing loss and grief.
Condolences poured in from international leaders, many of whom fondly remembered her as a tall leader and "a fine advocate for her nation."
"A glorious chapter in Indian politics comes to an end. India grieves the demise of a remarkable leader who devoted her life to public service and bettering lives of the poor. Sushma Swaraj Ji was one of her kind, who was a source of inspiration for crores of people," tweeted PM Modi.
The two-time MP had been having some health-related complications over the last several months. She had also opted out of contesting the Lok Sabha election 2019 citing health issues.
Congress on Sunday said the resignation of former Karnataka chief minister SM Krishna from the party was "unfortunate" while noting that he had a "dream run in the party".
