Guneet Monga expressed gratitude and respect for French cinema, Guneet's recent release is the Sanya Malhotra-starrer digital film "Pagglait". She has also executive produced journalist filmmaker Vinod Kapri's documentary film "1232 Kms".

Guneet Monga would be felicitated at a ceremony in Delhi on the 13th April 2021 by the Ambassador of France to India. The prestigious distinction is a mark of appreciation for her invaluable contribution to world cinema. Guneet Monga co-founded the cinema collective- Indian Women Rising which aided the run of the critically acclaimed short film 'Bittu' at the Oscars.

French Culture Minister Franck Riester, currently on an official visit to India, will confer the insignia of the distinction on Sanjna Kapoor in a special investiture ceremony on Tuesday.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today congratulated veteran actor Kamal Haasan for being chosen for the French honour, Chevalier Award.

Manish Arora has been awarded the 'Knight of the Legion of Honour', for his contribution to the world of fashion.
