A powerful 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Fukushima in northern Japan on Wednesday night.
A small tsunami reached shore, but the low-risk advisory was lifted by Thursday morning.
Two were confirmed dead and over one hundred people are injured.
Authorities cancelled an earlier tsunami warning.
Northern Japan was hit by a disastrous quake and tsunami in 2011.
No casualty or damage reported so far.
