G Madhavan Nair News
Chandrayaan-3 Lands On Moon: Amid celebrations over Chnadrayaan-3's success, G Madhavan Nair, former ISRO chairman, has shed light on the unassuming lives of scientists at the esteemed space agency, emphasizing that they have achieved this groundbreaking feat on a mere fifth of the salary of their counterparts in developed countries.
As the countdown for India's ambitious lunar mission Chandrayaan 2 began, former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief G Madhavan Nair on Sunday said that it is one of the most complex missions undertaken by the country.
Chandrayaan-2 comes 10 years after ISRO launched its first lunar mission, Chandrayaan-1, in 2009.
The Antrix-Devas deal had seen early exit of Nair as Chairman of ISRO as he was the Chairman of the Governing Council of Antrix when the deal was finalised.
Nair also pointed to China to stress on the need for quality research as he said that the neighbouring country has "overtaken us manyfold" in this area.
