India's multi-agency team that had gone to Dominica to bring back Mehul Choksi is headed back home on a Qatar Airways private jet.
The team headed back after the island nation's high court adjourned the hearing on the fugitive diamantaire's habeas corpus petition, sources said.

The remarks from Mehul Choksi's wife Priti Choksi came after Antigua and Barbuda Prime Minister Gaston Browne claimed last week that Choksi may have taken his girlfriend on a romantic trip to Dominica, where he was busted.

In the notice, Browne had made it clear that Choksi would be 'deprived' of his citizenship of Antigua & Barbuda due to 'wilful concealment of material fact'.

Mehul Choksi, who has been staying in in Antigua and Barbuda since 2018 after taking citizenship in 2017 under the Citizenship by Investment programme, reportedly fled to Dominica on May 23. He, however, was caught on May 26.

Fugitive Choksi is wanted by Indian authorities in the Rs 14000 cr PNB fraud case and had fled to the country in 2018.
