A woman was detained for assaulting a boy after he requested not to bring her dog into a lift.

The family members of the deceased told police that Gaurav Chandel, who was a resident in Greater Noida West's Gaur City, was returning from his office and was on his way home. The family said that Chandel had informed them that he was close to Parthala Chowk and would be reaching home in 5 minutes. They added that when he didn't reach home even after half-an-hour and stopped taking their calls, they got worried.

A 15-year-old boy, who police said has confessed to having killed his mother and sister in Gaur City, allegedly used a bat, pair of scissors and pizza cutter to kill them in their sleep as he was agitated over being scolded for studies.

The 15-year-old boy is the prime suspect in the police investigation into the alleged killing of the mother-daughter duo on Monday night.
