Over a dozen cows were burnt alive as a blaze engulfed a cow shelter on Delhi`s outskirts.
Ten fire engines were sent to extinguish the blaze.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
An ambulance service for sick and injured cows was inaugurated in Assam's Dibrugarh district.
The service will be run by Gopal Gaushala.
The 'gaushala' had also set up a hospital for cows in 2020.
A senior official, however, said no cow was found missing from the 'gaushala'.

The suggestion to set up cow shelters in jails was given by the Gau Sewa Aayog after which the UP Police decided that 12 prisons of the state can run the 'gaushalas'.
Sharma further added that the plan of making gaushala inside the campus doesn't need permission from the University Grants Commission.
