Due to Global Warming, glaciers are melting rapidly...the earth's temperature is increasing. The weather is changing all over the world including India. In some places there is drought and in other places unseasonal rains have made life difficult for people. Sea levels are rising every year, and all these problems have the same root... climate change. Jakarta city is the fastest sinking city in the world which has sunk 16 feet in 25 years.
Due to Global Warming, glaciers are melting rapidly... Due to these melting glaciers, the sea level has increased. If the sea level continues to rise in this manner, then by the year 2100, 5 countries will be submerged in the sea. Even though there are still 70-75 years left for these countries to be completely submerged, but gradually the effect of rising sea levels is becoming visible on these countries.
Switzerland, on hearing the name, beautiful white valleys come to mind. Which are present in films from tales to stories. But now the black shadow of global warming has fallen on the white plains of Switzerland and if it is not stopped, then by the end of this century, the white plains of Switzerland will be left only in the stories and this is not an imaginary threat.

PM Modi said that he was reviewing the situation in Uttarakhand following a glacier burst incident at Joshimath in Chamoli district.
PM Modi said that he is taking stock of the rescue and relief work underway at the incident site.
Amit Shah said the ministry was monitoring the situation in Uttarakhand.
Amit Shah said, NDRF teams have been sent for rescue operations. Every possible assistance will be given.

The glacier has flowed near the Joshimath in Uttarakhand, due to which the dam of the Rishi Ganga Tapovan Hydro Power Project was broken, heavy damage is reported.
