Tech giants Apple and Google are all set to bring out their flagship smartphones in the market for tech enthusiasts and customers in the coming weeks. Both devices are anticipated to bring new innovations and features. 

Today, on December 19, Google had an event in India where it unveiled a number of services that would be made accessible to Indian users. These consist of many new search-related features, enhanced Google Pay security, and more. 

Google's event will start around 7:30 Pm IST today. Google will launch a bunch of products including Google Pixel 7. Viewers can watch the livestreaming of the event on Google YouTube's channel.

Google previewed a feature that would let users take video of shelves of wine bottles at a store. Later this year, Maps will launch an immersive view for some big cities that fuses Street View and aerial images.

Google will introduce upgrades to its consumer-facing products, such as Android OS, Chrome OS, Google Play, and Maps, among others. The company has also teased what we might expect from the next Google I/O conference.

Google currently offers live captions in five languages, with more on the way. Teams can now jump from a discussion in Google Chat directly to building content together. Google also introduced new smart chips in Docs for recommended files and meetings.

The Google I/O event will start on May 18 and will end on May 20. Users can live stream the Google event on Google itself and other social media channels of Google. It is expected to unveil Wear OS, Android 12 and Google Pixel A.

The new Wear OS is expected to have a new interface-level update or changes in the components building the wearable platform. Besides this, Google will also reveal details on Android 11 for Wear OS that was announced in 2020. The Google I/O 2021 event will happen at 10:30 pm on Tuesday.

Making the announcements, he said the company is working on products for India that can be expanded globally.

Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will also join Pichai and other senior Google leaders during the event.

Google has begun its big event in San Franscisco. Google has launched its first smartphone designed and manufactured by its own team. It also launched voice-based assistant Google Home that is going to transform the way one leads life.

Google has sent out an invite for an event on December 16.

Meanwhile, signalling the growing importance of the Indian sub-continent for the search giant, Google may unveil its latest devices - Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 - this month.
