Pitted against several resourceful teams from across the globe, does Team Indus stand a chance to win this race for space?
The first one will be the Chandrayaan-2 mission, an advanced version of its previous 2018 mission with the objective of deeper lunar surface probe, and the second mission will be an initiative by Team Indus – a group of space enthusiasts that wants to unfurl the tricolour on the moon's surface as part of a global lunar competition.

According to a statement from XPRIZE and Google, five teams, including TeamIndus, have been shortlisted to land an unmanned spacecraft on the surface of the Moon.
TeamIndus can carry up to 20 kg of payload of which the Japanese rover weighs 4 kg.
Team Indus will launch its spacecraft aboard ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) next year.
