Yogi Adityanath in the past four months had heard the grievances of the people by holding 'Janata Darbars' and had also made a conscious effort to make officials sensitive and accountable.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah on Sunday reviewed the functioning of various frontal organisations of the party and asked them to spread awareness about various schemes launched by the government.

The government has initiated various programmes that will help in boosting per capita monthly income and also approved a scheme aimed at providing better pricing to farmers, improving supply chain and reducing wastages, Parliament was informed Thursday.

Demanding adequate social security measures for them including pension and better access to government entitlements, scores of single women from different parts of the country have descended here for a two-day meeting starting Wednesday.

Ruing that the schemes designed by the previous governments for uplift of poor will only make them more dependent, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday stressed on the need to frame policies which will ensure dignity with self-sufficiency to the needy.
